Three Smoothie Bowls That Will Make You Feel Amazing


I've always been a girl that loves her fruits. Frozen and fresh fruit are something I promise you'll always find stocked up in my home. And yes, I'm definitely that girl at the grocery store that buys two heaping piles of junior bananas before exiting happy.

In the past half a year I've discovered a new love for smoothies. Why you might ask? Two words..smoothie bowls! There has to be something more satisfying about making a delicious blend of your favorite fruits, pouring it into a big bowl, topping it with all of your favorite textured foods, and of course making it pretty enough to hit all of your social media accounts. 
Different smoothie bowl recipes contain a ton of awesome health benefits! Incorporating fresh or frozen berries, will add a dose of daily vitamin C. Giving your bowl a base with fresh greens like spinach, is high in fiber and vitamins. Topping your bowl with different types of nuts will give you added protein and healthy fats. Meals high in protein and fat are going to keep you more full through out the day. This is going to be great in keeping your snack attacks at bay.

To get you all inspired, I'm excited to share three of my favorite smoothie recipes that will have you feeling amazing! Don't forget to have fun with it and feel free to substitute or play with different types of ingredients. Customize your bowl to you!


Smoothie Base:
  • 2 cups of a frozen tropical mix (pineapple, mango, papaya) 
  • 1/2 or 1 whole frozen banana 
  • 1 cup of coconut water 
  • 1/2 coconut milk 
  1. Add all of your ingredients into a blender and mix until  
  2. Serve into a bowl and add toppings.

  Some of my favorite toppings for this smoothie are fresh banana,
  slivered almonds, coconut chips, unsweetened coconut flakes, and 

  You'll almost feel like your in the tropics when you indulge in
  this smoothie bowl!



Smoothie base:
  • 1 cup of frozen berries (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries)
  • 1 packet of frozen sambazon acai (found at trader joes or whole foods)
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 1/2 cup of coconut water
  • 1/2 cup of almond or coconut milk
  1. Add ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth.
  2. Serve into a bowl and add toppings.

  This is a smoothie bowl that will taste great with any ingredients  
  added on top! Acai are small beautiful blackish purple berries
  commonly found in the Amazon. These berries are heart healthy and   
  extremely high in antioxidants. They aid in weight loss, healthy 
  skin, and increased overall level of energy. These smoothie bowls 
  are quickly populating all over the states and I know you're going  
  to love this one!


Raspberry Biscotti Bowl

Smoothie Base:
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 scoop vega protein & greens coconut almond flavor protein powder
  • 1 cup almond or coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup of ice
  1. Add ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Serve into a bowl and add toppings.

  I adore this recipe as my post workout meal. These flavors are  
  deliciously sweet and a great source of plant based protein. Did I 
  mention the color of this smoothie brings me life. It's absolutely 
  beautiful! Finishing off topping this bowl with fresh bananas, 
  raspberries, nuts, and chocolate granola, couldn't be anymore
  satisfying after a hard workout!
